Robert Trussell
Mr. Trussell is the Founder and retired Chief Executive Officer of Tempur-Pedic International Inc and was vice chairman of the board from 2002 to 2022. Tempur-Pedic acquired Sealy corporation in 2012 and is now known as TempurSealy. Tempur-Pedic was a startup company in 1992 and has nearly 5 billion dollars a year in worldwide sales. Mr. Trussell successfully employed advertising media and public relations to spread the Tempur–Pedic story. He took the company public in 2003, where it trades on the NYSE as “TPX”. In 2006, he retired as CEO of Tempur-Pedic to serve Christ full-time by using the media for evangelization. He's currently president of Clean Media, a digital advertising platform catering to Catholic, Christian and secular websites.
Mr. Trussell received his B.S. degree from Marquette University in 1974. He is chairman of Catholics Come Home (a Catholic evangelization nonprofit) and Virtue Media (a Catholic, pro-life media apostolate), and former chairman of 1380 Real Life Catholic Radio in Lexington, KY.
