Ashley Zahorian
Biography
Ashley Zahorian is an award-winning Catholic producer and director passionate about creating media that explores the expanses of the human experience and questions of human dignity. Films and shows on which she was a producer or director have won ten awards. Her most recent long-term network production, FantomWorks, is the top-rated show on Discovery’s Velocity Channel with over 8 million viewers. She began on the show in January 2014 as a Field Producer and transitioned to a Story Producer and Director from 2015-2016.
In 2016 Ashley left full-time work on FantomWorks to more fully pursue Catholic media growing her company, Something Like Real Pictures (started in 2010) and homeschooling. She now has launched themassbox.com, a subscription based program to get kids excited about the Mass with a weekly webisode show, craft materials for crafts that match the readings, coloring sheets, children’s missals, and instructions and discussion guides. Something Like Real Pictures also provides media coverage for conferences and is working on a live-cast Catholic news and events show and the Awakening the Domestic Church project. Ashley is in the process of applying for grants and pitching projects to networks for several larger Catholic productions.
