25 Things I Hate About Facebook

by Uncategorized

Here we see Julian Smith, a “youtube celebrity” (according to Google), listing off the top 25 things that he hates on Facebook. Obviously, Facebook is good and useful in my areas (feel free to like our fan page!); nevertheless, the level of superficiality can at times be too much. The video mixes in a little sarcasm and some common sense and turns out a good 4-minute commentary.

Some stats, released  by way of statistics portal Statista, reveal that Facebook attracts 167 million unique U.S. visitors per month. These users spend an average of 6 hours and 33 minutes on the social network each month. Doing a little math (not me, someone else), Americans spend 100K years on Facebook each month. One can’t help but ask, “What are we doing on Facebook?” What could we have done with all that time?

The moral of the story is: if you use Facebook, please don’t spend hours doing stupid stuff. Time is not just “our time,” it is a gift and an opportunity to do great things. Thankfully, there’s much more to life than “pokes” and virtual pillow fights.
