We find ourselves in uncharted territory with the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to the medical aspect of the crisis, the economy is in flux, universities have sent their students home, many in the service industry have lost their livelihoods, businesses have had to shut down, and vast numbers of people are living under quarantine, feeling isolated and alone.
In an effort to spread a message of hope, build community despite social distancing and disruption to religious services, as well as to highlight how vital faith is to society especially in times of crisis, the Religious Freedom Institute (RFI) launched a social media challenge #HopeDuringCOVID19 on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
The challenge is to share how your faith is giving you #HopeDuringCOVID19, by following three simple steps: POST, CHALLENGE, TAG.
Yes, it’s just that easy. But let us break it down.
1. Post a video on any or all your social media about how your faith gives you #HopeDuringCOVID19. Use the hashtags #HopeDuringCovid19 #ProudCatholic #(City/State/Country).
2. Challenge at least 3 of your friends to do the same within 24 hours of posting your video.
3. Last, tag the RFI so we can help get your story out to those most in need of hearing it today! (Handles: Facebook @religiousfreedominstitute; Twitter @RFInstitute; Instagram @_RFInstitute)
