In this episode of the Catholic Link podcast. Fr. Rob and Fr. George discuss how and why some of the Psalms ask God to enact God’s justice on his enemies. They explain how the Psalms are prayers. In some of these Psalms, the Psalmist asks God to enact his justice on those who offend God and hurt the people of Israel. This reminds us today that the Church, the new Israel, has enemies too. Jesus said, “Love your enemies,” but did not say to not have enemies. There are people who seek to destroy the Church. We obviously should pray for their conversion, but we have faith that God will enact God’s justice, give what is due to all.

Listen to the previous episode to learn how to Be a great husband because your wife needs you. A man often lists his priorities as: God, family, then work. How much time do they dedicate to each of those items? So often work and sleep get the most time and our families, and in particular our wives, get the time that’s left. Devin Schadt, of Fathers of St. Joseph, joins the podcast to provide practical tips for fostering the primordial relationship of a man’s marriage: the relationship with his wife. Our wives desire four things: security, strength, closeness, and spiritual leadership. The husbands of the family provide those needs and the love shared between a man and wife passes down to the children and the world at large.
