Who is Our Lady of Good Help? Listen to the story in this video from Champion Shrine in Wisconsin. Our Lady of Good Help is the United States’ first and only approved Marian Apparition Site. In 1859, our Blessed Mother appeared to a young woman named Adele Brise, introducing herself as the “Queen of Heaven who prays for the conversion of sinners.” Learn more in the video below.

The Message Of Our Lady Of Help

What more can I do, dear Lady?

– Adele Brise

“In America, The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help at Champion covers the peace-filled holy ground deemed ‘worthy of belief’ by authority of the Catholic Church, that Mary, the mother of Jesus, appeared. Identifying herself as ‘The Queen of Heaven who prays for the conversion of sinners,’ Mary appeared in October 1859 to a Belgian immigrant woman, Adele Brise, on the grounds of Champion Shrine, when the town was known as Robinsonville.” (ChampionShrine.org)

6 Things Our Lady Of Good Help Asked Us To Do

  1. Make a general confession.
  2. Offer Communion for the conversion of sinners.
  3. “Gather the Children in this wild country and teach them what they need to know for salvation.” – Our Lady of Good Help
  4. Teach children the catechism.
  5. Teach children how to make the Sign of the Cross.
  6. Teach children how to approach the Sacraments.

The Queen of Heaven promises her help to those who will commit to doing these things, “Go and fear nothing. I will help you.”

Our Lady Of Good Help Prayer

O Dear Lady of Good Help, you revealed yourself as the Queen of Heaven to your servant Adele. You gave her a mission to pray for the conversion of sinners, to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to others, and to prepare the children for the reception of the sacraments. I trust that as you called Adele to holiness, you are calling me, in my station in life, to live a holy life, devoted to Jesus Christ with the help of your maternal love. I bring before you now my worries and anxieties. I abandon my attachments to them and place them at your feet. I ask you to hear the deepest longings of my heart as I pray most earnestly for (your intention). Dear Lady, you told Adele and you say to all of us, “Do not be afraid; I will help you.” Help me now as I place this intention with complete confidence and trust. Amen.

Our Father…, Hail Mary…, Glory Be…

Our Lady of Good Help, pray for us.

Most Reverend David L. Ricken, D.D., J.C.L., Bishop of Green Bay, Wisconsin
