Jesus In The Womb: Month 5

by Jesus Christ

Your Lord and Savior is Now the Size of a Papaya!

The moment Mary has been anxiously awaiting has finally arrived.  Though she had not doubted the life within her for even a moment, she has now had the extreme joy of feeling movement from her sweet Baby within her womb. Though the movements were almost deceptively small initially, she now feels His movements from within more frequently and more powerfully and she knows that her Baby Boy is growing big and strong within her. Do you suppose Baby Jesus sucked His thumb?  If He did, it’s possible that the sweet little habit began this month in the womb as He began practicing the sucking motions He would need to nurse when He was born.

What to expect this month:

  • That wonderful fluttering feeling in your stomach that you only feel when you are falling more deeply in love with Someone and coming to understand how deeply that Someone loves you.
  • A new and deeper appreciation for the vulnerability of the unborn and an awakening desire to help keep them safe.

Things to do this month to prepare for His birth:

  • Spend some time reading about the 7 sorrows of Mary and contemplating the heart of Mary which pondered all things and how she must have known, even while Jesus was safe within her womb, that the life ahead for Him would not be an easy one.
  • Consider volunteering for or donating to a pro-life organization or pregnancy resource center in your area and offer the sacrifice you are making to Jesus.

But Mary kept all these words, pondering them in her heart.

Luke 2:19

Does The Bible Really Mention Unicorns?

Every so often, someone discovers the word “unicorn” in an old English Bible and instantly assumes Scripture is a Narnia prequel. Or that they got a fanfic Bible or something. And honestly, I get it. The mental image of a lone unicorn trotting through the wilderness...

Is The Catholic Mass Part Of The Bible?

Is The Catholic Mass Part Of The Bible?

When I ask myself where the Mass is in the Bible, my mind goes to Luke’s Gospel, Chapter 24. On Easter Sunday, three days after Jesus instituted the Eucharist at the Last Supper, and before He appeared to the eleven, Jesus walked beside two disciples on the road to...
