I was born in Detroit, Michigan, and have been a perpetually professed member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan for 56 years and a founding member of the Institute. I worked as our community's postulant director for several years, which involved forming young women who entered our religious community in our charism of mercy.
Educationally, I have a BSN from Mercy College of Detroit, an MSA from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Theology from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN.
I lived in Jackson, Minnesota, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Alma, Michigan. I enjoyed most of all direct patient care as a nurse and cooking, as well as sewing sacred linens for our chapels.
The Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan is a religious

The Institute's Motherhouse is located in Alma, Michigan. It recognizes Venerable Catherine McAuley as its original foundress, who founded the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin, Ireland in 1831. The community has approximately 120 members with Convents located throughout the U.S., Rome, Germany, Australia, Scotland, and Ireland.
