Lexi Saunders
My Story
Born and raised Catholic in the great city of Wichita, Kansas; I learned many facts about Jesus, but was not transformed by His words until the summer before my Junior year of college. It was this encounter with His love and mercy that lead me to attend a FOCUS bible study at Wichita State. There, I met amazing women and friends who wanted to become saints - and to lead others to the One, Holy, Catholic Church. As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ and His mother Mary. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I've been constantly amazed by the different souls I've encountered on campus and can't wait to see what He continues to grace this year at Nicholls!
Where I serve
In praying with the Woman at the Well (John 4: 4-42), God called me to serve college students by asking me to "give them a drink" of the living water I've experienced. This semester I have started serving the Lord at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. My favorite thing about Nicholls state is the beautiful perpetual adoration chapel on campus. Three years ago, Jesus became a real person, a real relationship in my life - not just an "idea," or "rule maker." My favorite story is the way His mercy changed my life, feel free to contact me and I'll love to share :).
