50 Things to Know About “50 Shades of Grey” And 4 Lies…Video

by Apologetics, Controversial Subjects, Morals & Values, Sexuality and Chastity

After selling more than 100 million copies in over 52 languages, the author of 50 Shades of Grey, E. L. James, is now considered one of the 100 most influential people in the world. The anticipated sequel to the motion picture was released last week, and we cannot stress enough that this is not for Catholics.

Our hope with today’s video is to make one point very clear: this film is in no one way a “love story.” It is soft-core pornography and extremely dehumanizing. This is not a film to see, nor a novel to read.

Porn is lame, damaging and great recipe for losing any sensibility for true beauty, true relationships, and true love.

4 Lies Found in 50 Shades of Grey

Here is another video from Matt Fradd from Covenanteyes.com that speaks of the 4 main lies in the novel/film:

“It brands violence as romance, it teaches women that sexual abuse and being a victim is hot or sexy, and it’s really the story of a seasoned predator,” said Dr. Gail Dines, founder and president of the international feminist organization Stop Porn Culture. (Catholic News Agency)
