Want To Marry A Man Who Loves God? Do This 1 Thing Now!

by Love and Relationships, Sexuality and Chastity

The Culture Project has been producing some amazing videos that answer the questions so many of us have about relationships, chastity, and learning to accept yourself. The video featured today contains practical advice for those who are waiting on a man who loves God.

The cultural attitudes of this generation of young adults can make it difficult for Catholics who desire to get married and start a family. Fewer people than ever before are choosing marriage, and those who do are waiting until a much later age to marry than previous generations.

It’s easy to give up and tempting to lower your standards, but that’s not the answer. Find out more in the video.

Waiting On A Man Who Loves God

The One Thing You Need To Do If You Want To Marry A Man Who Loves God

“I hadn’t made God number one in my life…I was ignoring the only man who could fulfill the desires of my heart: God.”

If you want to find a godly man, you have to start by making God number one in your life right now.

This is the most important thing mentioned in the video. It’s crucial. Even if you find a godly man, he won’t be God. If you’re expecting to find a savior in a boyfriend, fiancé, or husband, you’re setting yourself up for failure. No human being can provide the type of love and fulfillment that God does.

If you’re feeling discouraged, start with that. Spend time in prayer and ask Him to reveal to you the ways in which you are seeking fulfillment apart from Him.

Reflection

  1. Is God number one in my life?
  2. Do I trust in God’s plan for my future? Do I try to control, manipulate, or bargain with God to get what I want?
  3. Have I been tempted to lower my standards just to be in a relationship? What are my standards?
  4. Do I compare myself to others? How does this hurt me?
  5. What are some practical steps I can take to remain hopeful?
