1.) St. Marie Leonie was just fourteen years old when she entered the community of the Marianites of Holy Cross in 1854.

2.) St. Marie Leonie was born in Canada and spent twelve years serving in the United States.

3.) She founded The Little Sisters of the Holy Family to provide spiritual and material support for priests so that they are able to concentrate on their own mission.

4.) St. Marie Leonie was deeply devoted to the serving priests, education, the Eucharist, and the Blessed Mother.

5.) St. Marie Leonie’s feast day is May 3. She died on May 3, 1912, after a battle with cancer.
