St. Anthony’s Motto

St. Anthony’s Motto can be used when facing temptation and even as a small exorcism. Pope Sixtus V had this prayer engraved at the base of the statue he had placed in St. Peter’s Square. Pray it often when you’re in need of extra help!

Ecce Crucem Domini!
Fugite partes adversae!
Vicit Leo de tribu Juda,
Radix David! Alleluia!

St. Anthony

Behold the Cross of the Lord!

Be gone all evil powers!

The Lion of the tribe of Judah,

The root of David has conquered! Alleluia!
