My name is Mary Mone and I am a 20-year-old Catholic college student. I graduated with an Associate in Public Relations and Advertising at Tyler Junior College in May ’21 and am furthering my education at Stephen F. Austin State University. I moved to Texas in my early teens and began to gain interest in photography. This interest developed into more of a creative outlet, which included writing and web design. As I entered college, I knew right away I wanted to be in the communications field. Since then, I have been the Online Editor, Copy Editor, and a writer with The Drumbeat Student Media. Along with newspaper experience, I was the Creative Director of an advertising campaign, and co-director of a public relations campaign, both for a non-profit. In the fall of ’21, I worked as a photographer and graphic designer for The Pinelog Newspaper at SFA, and now am a media intern at St. Mary‘s Catholic Campus Ministry at SFA. I have always been sure of what I want, and I am dedicated to always learning more and doing the best I can with what I have.
