Jesus In The Womb: Month 7

by Jesus Christ

Your Lord and Savior is Now the Size of a Pineapple!

The third and last trimester has officially begun!  The primary development of Baby Jesus this month is His brain.  Though His brain has already been developed for some time, it is beginning to grow larger every day and taking on the wrinkly appearance that we are familiar with.  While His brain grows more wrinkly, his body becomes less so as baby Jesus not only accumulates the fat needed for His brain but for the rest of His body as well.  The growth of Jesus’ brain is not the only exciting thing happening this month, as Jesus is now able to sleep in REM cycles and will develop a more defined sleep pattern.  He also develops the ability to blink His eyes this month, which puts Him one step closer to gazing upon You with the ultimate loving gaze.

What to expect this month:

  • A growing sense of excitement that the pregnancy is two-thirds of the way finished and that baby Jesus will soon be born!
  • A growing sense of unease about the death this sweet, innocent Baby will choose – and choose for you.

Things to do this month to prepare for His birth:

  • Spend some time looking at a crucifix and imagine Jesus’ eyes blinking while He gazes upon you with love from the cross.
  • Challenge your brain by picking up a difficult spiritual book that you’ve had but are just too intimated to read and give it another try.

“The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both.”
