This week we talk about the Suffering Servant, Christ who suffers for us so we can find Him in our own suffering. He has been tested so we can follow Him in our own testing. We bring in movies and sports to express stories and human tendencies. Should we strive for Glory? Sometimes we don’t understand what we are asking God for. Thankfully God uses the misunderstood and the unqualified to build His Church. There is Hope, so Hold Fast! Alternate names for this Podcast are “James and John are Clearly Wrong”, and “Sports, Movies, and Self Sacrifice”.

to crush him in infirmity.If he gives his life as an offering for sin,

Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens,

So let us confidently approach the throne of grace
to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.

and their great ones make their authority over them felt.
But it shall not be so among you.
Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant;
whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all.
For the Son of Man did not come to be served
but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
