We recite four marks of the Catholic Church each week at Mass during the Nicene Creed, but do you know what they are?
These four things are essential to the Church. The Catechism tells us that “it is Christ who, through the Holy Spirit, makes His Church one, holy, catholic, and apostolic, and it is He who calls her to realize each of these qualities.”(CCC 811)
It is important for us as Catholics to know and understand the very attributes that define the heart and mission of our faith. Take the time to learn and discover how to live out these marks as people of God so that we may be witnesses of the Catholic Church in our world.
This brief video below is produced by the 3MC YouTube channel and offers a three-minute lesson on the Catechism. This one specifically focuses on the four marks of the Church, but they offer many other lessons. You can also find additional content and a free app on their website to help you to learn more about what the Catechism teaches and the essential beliefs of our faith.
