This Thai commercial is brilliant. The means of communication that technology provides us with are precisely that, means. They aren’t ends in themselves. But if they are for us, that means we have forgotten the importance of living in reality. This commercial helps us to understand: the only place where we can live and fulfill ourselves is in reality. We certainly can try to escape to a virtual reality, but not without costs, not without leaving behind those truly human connections that illuminate reality in all its color and definition.
