Catholic Poetry To Use For After Communion Reflection

by Adoration, Eucharist

Source of Life

Your flesh dwells within me

Your breath, my life now be

My heart with one accord

Receiveth Thy Holy Word

Overabundant be Thy Grace

In the Holy Eucharist I now face

All contained within suffice

To sustain me for this life

And upon death’s calling

The greatest joy befalling

Bring me to the Promised Land

With Father, Spirit, and Son of Man

Lord By This Sacrament

Lord, by this Sacrament, which is You
May Your Life be granted me anew
Your humble, lowly death
And resurrection bring me breath
Lord, You in the Eucharist be the way
It is so, as You say
Lord, by the mercy which You bestow
On Your servant here below
Bring me new life daily in You
Through the Blessed Sacrament, make me new

Dare I Breathe

O Lord, how can I

Continue to breathe

When Your Holy Body

I do receive

Even when holy

Words be spoken

And I gaze upon You,

Bread now broken

In this moment

When I behold

You, how can I

Be so bold

To let my eyes

Fall upon

Your Sacred Body, and

My life be not gone

You, Lord, command

It to be so

Purify my heart, then,

So when I go

It’s last beat is

Only a result

Of You permitting

Me to exult

You in the

Greatest of ways

You, worthy of

Highest praise

When it beats

One final time

Be it to reach

Life with Thine

Hail, Holy Eucharist!

O Lord in the most Blessed Sacrament, Hail!
Let Your merciful love here prevail!
Let each breath entering in to me
Be released with love for Thee
Spread across the entire world
Your victory against evil, in hearts unfurled
Help me start here at home
And spread to where all Your people roam
May You do all of this
Through my love for You in the Holy Eucharist!
