Feast of the Presentation of the Lord
This week we talk a lot about the people you will find in the church. Those who withstand the refiners fire that is parish life, who wait on the Lord. In the second reading we talk about how Christ suffered and we can find Him in our sufferings. After the Gospel we talk about how there are labels that are self placed or placed by others in the Church and we need to see through them to the actual person and be able to love the person. We can, and are commanded to, love people that we don’t agree with. There is a lot of healing to do in Church culture and serving, others who we disagree with will go a long way towards that healing.
