Christmas songs often start playing the week before Thanksgiving and since for Catholics the Christmas season won’t end until The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord in January, we need to get creative when it comes to listening to good Christmas music.

Though so many of our Christmas carols are beautiful, we don’t want to get sick and tired of the same old songs before Christmas even begins! Often we have heard them so many times for so many years that the lyrics and meanings become background noise. It’s good to take a moment and enjoy a fresh perspective. We hope these 25 modern Christian Christmas songs will be new to your playlist and that they will guide you in your prayer time for the entire Advent and Christmas season.

Do you have a favorite non-traditional Christmas song? We would love to hear it! Leave your suggestions in the comments below!
