Bible Videos: Parable of the Good Samaritan

by Gospels

A while back a few of us in my community stumbled upon an impressive series of videos done about the Gospels. Here is one that depicts the Savior’s parable of the good Samaritan, in which a man is robbed and beaten by thieves, and a Samaritan shows mercy on him (Luke 10: 25-37).

Given the fact that the videos are produced by Mormons, I am going to publish them little by little, revising them and making sure they don’t have any messages contrary to the Catholic Faith.

The videos closely adhere to the gospel text (King James Version), are relatively simple in content, and, at the same time, the images and sounds are surprisingly powerful. I think they can be helpful when giving a catechesis on the Lord’s life and teachings.

All these videos can be found in a free App for Ipad and Iphone (not sure about Android) called Bible Videos. The app is one of the best that I’ve seen. It’s worth taking a look at and a good example of the apostolic possibilities in the world of apps. One can’t imagine the service to the Church if  those handy with the technology could begin to launch more and more high quality apps for Catholics.
