Love of the Faith and love of literature are the flames in this writer’s forge. The third eldest of nine remarkable siblings, I learned to steal solitude to read, read, read. We never could afford a family vacation, but I did host many esteemed, notable guests in the upstairs closet of our Shoreham Beach, Maryland home. J.R.R. Tolkien insisted on visiting again and again. Books, as it turns out for me, really were the best vacation of all! Does anyone else remember the excitement of the library bus rolling into their neighborhood?
After serving three years with the Missionaries of Charity, I taught at a Catholic school, met my husband Dale, and became a founding member of Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, New Hampshire. I also served the Church as a youth formator and catechist, while raising my girls Sophia and Marguerite. Sometime in in the middle of all of that I became a published author with two great goals - to touch as many hearts as possible with my writing and to hold my family to my own heart as often as the Lord provides.
