Jesus In The Womb: Month 4

by Jesus Christ

Your Lord and Savior is Now the Size of an Avocado!

The Light of the World is now able to see light himself!  Though His eyes are still closed at this point in the pregnancy, Baby Jesus can now move His eyes back and forth and is able to detect light through His eyelids.  To think that the God who had at one time created the sun and the light that emits from it, lowered Himself to the point where He was unable even to see light is an incredibly humbling thought; especially when considering that He did it all for you.  Though development continues at a fast pace, another big milestone for the Baby Jesus this month is His fully functioning heart.  The Sacred Heart of Jesus is now fully developed, beating 140-150 beats per minute, and pumping approximately 25 quarts of the most Precious Blood each day.

What to expect this month:

  • A comforting warmth coming from deep within comparable only to the warmth you feel sitting in the sun on a cool day; the source of which is God.
  • A new and deeper appreciation for the heart that beats steadily within your chest and a deeper gratitude towards the Creator who keeps it beating.

Things to do this month to prepare for His birth:

  • If possible, donate blood this month and take the opportunity to pray deeply for the recipient who will certainly be in need of prayers when they receive it.
  • Spend some time in prayer or spiritual reading outdoors, enjoying the warmth of the sunlight and acknowledging the true source of that warmth and that light.

I am the light of the world.
