25 Things People Don’t Realize You’re Doing Because You’re Catholic

by Evangelization, Funny

Catholics have so many wonderful rituals and traditions that are rich with meaning, but to those who don’t understand what we are doing, it might occasionally come across as a little bit odd.

It isn’t always obvious to the person observing our behavior that we do these things because of our love for God and our desire to grow closer to Him.

We’ve added a few fun things on our list as well. I can’t be the only person who has accidentally paused to genuflect when entering or exiting the movie theater row?!

Being able to laugh at ourselves helps us practice the virtue of humility, but it is also important for us to recognize when these rituals lose their meaning and become routine.

As you read through the list, take a moment to reflect on why we do these things. Recall the meaning and significance to get you out of the rut of merely doing them because of habit. And, if there are things on the list you don’t do, think about adding one of them into your spiritual life! They might be different than what other people are doing, but they will help you grow in holiness.
