These videos can be very useful in ministry to children and youth.  Anything that has to do with Lego seems to draw an immediate interest from kids (and even a lot of adults!). Many of these stories we have all heard before, but told in a new way will help us to think about the story differently.  Use our discussion questions below to help facilitate a conversation.

1.) Did seeing this Bible story in Lego help you to think about it differently than you have heard before? What parts stood out to you?

2.) Watching this videos helps us to realize that any talent we have can be used for God’s glory.  List a few things that you are good at and enjoy doing.  How can you use those things for God’s glory?

3.) Bible stories told with Lego are a creative way to teach others about Jesus. What are some other things that we could do to help people understand our faith?

Catholic Lego Challenge  – Presents a challenge each month for kids to create something out of Lego that also helps them learn about the faith.  Past challenges have been St. George, the Prodigal Son, and Pentecost.

One resource that I do not recommend is The Brick Bible which is a book that uses Legos to tell Bible stories.  Though the concept behind this idea is wonderful, many of the scenes depicted are not accurate and not appropriate for children. You can listen to a review from  New Catholic Generation to decide for yourself, but this is one book that I have taken away from my kids.
