Divine Mercy Sunday | Chaplet Of Divine Mercy

How To Pray The Chaplet Of Divine Mercy

  1. Begin By Holding Your Rosary

We start this chaplet by making the sign of the Cross: In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Then we continue with an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and the Creed using the first three beads of the rosary.

  1. The Large Bead: On the bigger bead, where we usually pray the Our Father, we say the following prayer:

“Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world”.

  1. The Following Beads: On the following beads, where we usually pray the Hail Mary, we say the following prayer:

“For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world”. We repeat this pattern of prayer throughout the five decades of the rosary.

  1. At the End of Your Rosary Beads: When we finish the five decades of the rosary with the prayers we’ve mentioned above, we say the following final prayer three times:

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”

As with every prayer, we end with the Divine Mercy Chaplet with the sign of the Cross: In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
