I'm Helen Hawersaat: Catholic, wife to Brian, and mother to three babies entrusted to God.

I started blogging at Grieving with the Saints after burying Charles Patrick, Marie Therese, and Rose Anastasia, all in my first two years of marriage. I write about my own grief and how it relates to my spiritual life. I also want to share what the saints have to say about grief, and I will let them tell you in their own words as often as I can.

​For a living, I am a freelance cellist, Suzuki cello teacher, wife of someone with health insurance, and a mooch. I also love to tell stories and share what I'm reading and cooking.
