18 Catholic Colleges that are Proud to be Catholic!

by Faith & Life, Vocation

At this time of year, many are headed to college for the first time and others are just beginning the college search.  Worried about going to a university far away from home and forgetting your Catholic roots? Choosing a school can be a nightmare, especially when you have no idea about the college lifestyle.

Many Universities claim to be Catholic, yet the types of programs, speakers, and groups they have available on campus defy Catholic teaching. We would love to help point you in the right direction with a few schools that appear to be remaining true to their Catholic identity and encouraging students to grow in faith.

If you decide not to go to any of these Catholic universities, in most of the schools across the United States, you can always find a Catholic Newman Center. A great example would be the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Check out their Newman Center website  If a Newman Center does not exist at your school, go to your school’s diocese and start a new one. The world needs more evangelizing agents!
