10 Fascinating Facts About the Catholic Church You Probably Didn’t Know

by Apologetics, Apostolate, Catholic Church

You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.“(Matthew 7, 16-20)

Today’s culture is, in many ways, increasingly hostile and ignorant (a consequence of the former) in regards to the Catholic Church. This means that we rarely hear and are almost never educated about the amount of good and just how fascinating the Catholic Church, including as an institution, really is.

That said, the information is out there if one seeks. The more that we learn about the Church, the better we will be able to serve Her and give testimony about Her to the world.

Benedict XVI reminded us that:

The Church does not grow by proselytizing, rather by attraction and testimony. Testimony, however, requires a face and a mouth.
