In my beginning stages of exploration into women and the Church, I’ve been told so many times to check out Pope John Paul II’s Letter to Women, which he wrote in June 1995, before the Fourth World Conference on Women. I’ve finally read it, and his message is just as pertinent today as it was in 1995 – if not more so.
In selecting some quotes to share from it, I really wanted to quote it all, so heartened was I by his warmth and directness when addressing women and the myriad of strengths and sufferings pertaining to women in the history of humankind.
If you haven’t read it yourself, I strongly recommend checking it out, but in the meantime, here are a few quotes to get you inspired!
